Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I've ordered take out twice from here. The first time was very good. The second time was horrible. They are very inconsistent as you can see from the reviews. I ordered the same thing the first time as well as the second time, beef chow mein, shrimp lo mein, chicken and broccoli and chicken fried rice. The first time I ordered, everything was really good. However the second time I ordered, the beef chow mein was horrible. The beef tasted almost sour and rancid, the chicken and broccoli was NOT good. The chicken had almost a mashed potato consistency and had no flavor. The shrimp lo mein was bland and had no flavor either. It's almost like 2 different people cooked the meal.

On our never-ending search for great Chinese food in Miami, we decided to order take out from Atlantic Chinese. It has great reviews here on Yelp and was on our way home, so we thought why not? Calling in our order was easy, the Chinese lady who answers the phone is super sweet, albeit hard to understand. She got everything right though, so that's what counts! The better half isn't as tolerant of "dive-y" restaurants, so I decided to walk in to get the food. It was better that he stayed in the car - this place is not clean on the inside. The walls are papered with old flyers and calendars, dusty counters/ceiling, musty smelling carpets, peeling paint - everything you'd expect from a Chinese take-out place. But I was still willing to give it a try, we've had terrible food from immaculately maintained restaurants - the décor definitely does not dictate how the food will taste. The food was really high quality, surprising for this small restaurant. We ordered boneless spare ribs and honey chicken. The honey chicken was probably the best I've ever had. Large chunks of chicken breast with an extremely light breading (nothing at all like the "normal" Chinese take-out chicken). It may have even been flash fried in a wok, as it did not appear to be deep fried at all. Value is also great - we received two full meals and egg rolls for under $18.

The Good: Had the orange chicken and the chicken was perfectly glazed and was fried to the right amount of crispiness, they definitely made the meal. At ~$7 for a lunch special it was a bargain. The Bad: The rice had obviously been sitting out too long and was very dry. Rangoons were almost burnt but still edible.

Awful. I ordered 3 lunch specials, all three went straight to the garbage. Yellow fried rice, is this a new trend? Is there a shortage of soy sauce? I ordered 2 fried chicken lunch combo and a honey garlic chicken combo. The chicken smelled awful and tasted rotten. After the first bite I called the restaurant and informed them of the rotten crap they sold us as a meal. The employee who answered the phone went on the offense, stating they would never sale bad meat to their customer. Bull SH*% my mom tried to give her meal to the alley cats near her apartment and they refused it. I asked to speak to the owner I was told he was busy. Busy doing what;ordering fresh chicken. I should call the health department on this place.

I don't understand how this has gotten good reviews. It's obvious that the food was not freshly prepared. The General Tsao's chicken looked, tasted, and felt like it was fried days ago and reheated. The dumplings and won ton soup were both very bland. Egg rolls were peculiarly fishy tasting...

I have no complaints. There's a lot of food. It tastes pretty good for take out. No surprise roaches. No stray band aids. I don't think I'm going to get infested with some kind of intestinal mite. Nice staff. I think everything is going to be alright.

Dude, seriously... I've been passing Atlantic Chinese for almost 2 years to get to King's Chef. Can you tell me why I've been doing that? ACR is, like, WAY better. Sorry, KC, but it's over between us! So far, I've had the honey garlic chicken and shrimp fried rice. Both dishes from ACR have spanked KC's dishes, in my opinion at least. And it's a bit cheaper, too. The only downside is that ACR is a basically a little hole in the wall, but if you can get past the esthetics, I suggest you order as much food as you can , via delivery, and eat yourself into a coma! Yup... it's THAT good!

Our FAVORITE chinese restaurant EVER! We lived in Lakeland, FL and would visit Miami often for family and Atlantic Chinese!! We now live in Nebraska and we crave it all the time =( The only thing we ever order is the bucket of house special fried rice! I really can't comment on anything else, but their fried rice is # 1!

Ok, I finally have to review this place since I order from them like 2x a month. Pros: quick delivery! Always quick and hot upon arrival. Quick turn around if you want to pick up too. I am always getting jazzy with my order and customizing stuff and they always get it right, with NO attitude. They are really friendly. Cons: A little sketchy on the inside... not sure about that. So I suggest delivery (out of sight, out of mind) Food: I do not like their fried rice, just not my style. Their sweet and sour chicken has a lot of breading, but I think it is all white meat. Plus they pack the sauce separate, so no mushiness. My faves from there are the won ton soup, although sometimes it is better than others. But always good. Their pan fried dumplings are sooo good, but the dipping sauce is kind of weird, like red wine vinegar? But the dumplings are de-lish. Their egg rolls are good too! Not cabbage and gabbage overload like some places. I would call this at 3ish star place, but they are good to me, and consistent, and easy to deal with. And always good, and when you compare them to any other Chinese joint in the area, they definitely get boosted up to 4 stars. And everything is made to order :)

I was just flat out exhausted after spending 2 ten hour days at the Kovens Center down the road at a retreat for work. I decided to pick up some Chinese takeout on the way home for the fam, and this place looked aight so I went for it. I ended up getting the general tso's chicken, boneless spare ribs, beef lo mein, and steamed dumplings. Everything was good tasting. The chicken and the spare ribs were flavorful, but their presentation was unique in that te ribs were served as like 4 or 5 fairly large pieces of pork rather than the smaller ribbons you normally see with this dish. The chicken was in rectangular pieces. At first I thought they had given us soy. A little odd, but whatever. The dumplings I think I would skip. Their pork fried rice is definitely above average. In terms of location, this place is about as dive-y as it comes. It is also a tad on the pricey side. Good, but not great.

Ordered for first time last night with the roomates. Had chicken with garlic. Sesame chicken and rib tips also honey wings for an app. Wow!!! Tons of food and good flavor to match. Amazing deal for what we paid and quick delivery time. Will definitely be ordering again

Visited this restaurant 09/27/12 and ordered the customary Moo Goo Gai Pan and Peppered Steak. Just the average, chinese restaurant, although I did like the Egg Drop Soup. For better food, I recommend driving the extra 3 blocks to Kings Chef at 476 NE 125th Street.

I recently got a job in the area and decided to go out for Chinese food. Of course i checked with Yelp before heading out in the venture. I can say that this place due to it's maintenance is the first and last time i order for pick up. Parking is minimal, food is ok but the dining room is dingy, dreary. There's a plastic shelf in plain view full of crap, back door is opened, AC seemed to be off. Food was ok, had flavor but the cleanliness is another issue all on it's own.
(3)Lucy H.
Good food. Mongolian Beef was very good. Will be returning for take out in the future.
(4)Mark H.
I've seen this place for quite a few years and see lots of people coming and going. WOW! Fried rice and egg roll fantastic. The moogogaipan over the top. Please try this place. Especially on a raining night.
(4)Joseph D.
Great lunch specials, food is tasty and portions are a nice size. Excellent service as well =)
(4)Joe R.
Best Chinese food in Miami! The jumbo fried rice fed us for like three days. Orange chicken is my favorite and always on spot.

I don't know who owns this place now but you are not fit to own it! My fiancé just ordered and they put the phone down while he waited for 5 minutes. Then some woman picked and asked his name 3 times after he had already said it 3 times! Also what is up with the phone there?! They never seem to understand what we're saying and we have to shout out order to them. Get someone who speaks and understand English PLEASE!!! Most of your business is done over the phone. The food has gone downhill as well. We've been ordering for 3 years and tonight may be our last . Thank you ruining our favorite Chinese take out!!!
(1)Diego D.
their food was ok. I ordered the General Tso's chicken, which was tasty... the chunks of chicken were meatier than in other restaurants, and I like the fact that it didn't come with broccoli (not because I don't like broccoli, but if I wanted healthy food I wouldn't order Chinese). the fried rice was good... just good fried rice. Nothing spectacular. My dinner special came with crab rangoon, which was not very tasty. I also ordered dumplings, just to give them a try. The dumpling itself was okay. a little bland. The sauce that came with the dumpling, however, was horrible. too much vinegar, and it tasted like shitty malt vinegar. still, I'll order from them again... Won't order the dumplings, and might not get the cra rangoon, but I will definitely try other dishes.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with delivery. I Order my food and they tell me 45 minutes. An hour and a half goes by no food. I call 3 times and get the run around including them telling me they will call the delivery guy and call me back. Do you think they called me back? NO!!! The delivery guy finally gets here 2 hours later and asked me to come down stairs to pick up my food because he doesn't come up to Apts at night. Wait what? Aren't u the delivery guy? I tell him sir I really need you to bring up my food and he says if I don't want my food just say so and he will leave. I told him are you crazy of course I want my food I have been waiting for 2 hours. He then starts to argue with me that it has not been 2 hours at that point I lose my cool and yes I did use the F word but he did not hesitate to use it right back at me. Needles to say he never came up with my food and then when I called the restaurant to get my card refunded they decided to ignore my calls. Never ever again will I order from this place.

Love the food but the dine in experience is priceless ! Between the wood paneling on the walls , miss matched chairs, one older Chinese waitress trying to eat lunch while serving the patrons, oh and I mustn't forget sticky salt and pepper shakers! It's always a pleasure I will be back to dine in with friends and family !!

Disgusting. Two hour wait for delivery. Not even Chinese food. Perhaps one of the most basic Chinese dishes is ma po tofu. These people don't have a clue how it's made. Deep fried tofu? Really? Broccoli carrots and baby corn? Not in ma po tofu. By the way chopped Bok choy? carrots and baby corn on everything. Tasteless lo mein. Deep fried dumplings which they call pan fried. Save your money and calories for anywhere else--even mall Chinese is better.

You will never go wrong at this place. From hot honey garlic wings to the fried rangoon, you will have a great time. I'd recommend their variety of fried rice. It's not for the fancy and posh. Go and indulge in your crappy portions and verbose reviews about some over the top Chinese place with ridiculous architecture. Take-out/delivery is heavenly.
(5)David R.
This place has really sad Chinese food. It doesn't even have any Chinese food flavor. They do give you a tremendous amount of food for the money, but it's not good.
(2)Michael O.
It's Chinese food. It's close by. And perhaps most importantly, they close at 11PM, the latest Chinese restaurant that I know of. Don't let looks deceive you, it has all the appearance of a hole in the wall. It doesn't win any points for its looks and it's not the kind of place you would want to take a date. But for take-out about as late as you'll want to have Chinese, this is the only game in town and it's a good one.
(4)Michael K.
Called and spoke with Lisa and mentioned about the ad on Yelp about ordering a combo and getting the free appetizer. She was clueless! The funny part is I was googling Chinese restaurants and their restaurant came up as a paid ad. so they're paying for the ad and have no idea what they're doing! It is so sad I don't know how they stay in business! The manager might have his head up in the air! With all the Chinese restaurants in my area why settle for somebody that's clueless. I'm headed to else where! lol!

I am going to take great joy in this... If you had a long hard day at work and all you want to do is order in, not worry, and have some delicious Chinese food - make sure you avoid this place like the plague. Things I could have done while waiting for my order: - watch titanic - run a marathon - watch a whole basketball game (I did) - call 7 times to see where my order was while getting hungup on twice (another thing I did) - download yelp - signup for yelp - write a yelp review Oh and btw I am still waiting for my food. It's been 2+ hours. I've had food from here before and it's edible to decent at best. Every meat tastes the same.
(1)Joseph S.
Just called to try and take advantage of the yelp offer they have posted. I've gotten the honey garlic chicken combo before was hoping to get the free appetizer they advertised. I was passed on by the first employee who didn't know what I was talking about to the second who proceeded to take my order and ask what I wanted not listening to the fact that I wanted to take advantage of the offer. The man on the phone didn't want to honor the yelp offer so I didn't feel comfortable ordering from them.. On to the next one

One thing i love to come back taste of there specialy friend rices and friend chicken! But never taste rest of food. I know very yummy too. Come get cheaper prices that can satisfy you!

In my opinion, Chinese food isn't that great in Florida as compared to other places. We went here because it had higher reviews and good prices for what we were looking for, but it was just okay. The chicken and broccoli had a weird white sauce that had some chunky parts in it (not sure what that was) and I didn't feel great after eating it. We wont be back here.
(1)Timogen A.
Best chinese restaurant in town very tasty this place rocks fresh maid food and healthy too and were good friends dine!
(5)K T.
The owners have changed, this is unfortunate... They still have the same cook and the little old Chinese woman still works there but you can see the employees aren't as happy. The place was very dysfunctional during my last visit... We'll def give it one more shot since it was one of my all time fav "hole in the wall"
(3)Rosie H.
We needed a meatless alternative and found the chowmein and veggie fried rice to be very tasty. This little gem is well hidden but so close to us. We can't wait to try more of their dishes. The place was small and quiet but the guys were great!
(3)Bob P.
Unbelievable!! One hour and fourth five minutes (1:45) for a delivery is ridiculous. Three calls to find out about the delivery and was told that "it will arrive any minute". The driver finally came and said he left the restaurant only 10 minutes prior to arrival. They can't seem to tell the truth so they are off my list. I heard about new ownership and that seems like a disaster so far.

This place is one of the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. I waited for 10 minutes for a table, but not because they were busy. It literally was because nobody was up front to greet us. The food was very very very disappointing. The Sesame Chicken was chicken thighs with the bone still in, and had so much breading there was actually raw dough in the middle. The decor was absolutely ridiculous. It felt like we were sitting in a storage room because they had storage right in the middle of the restaurant, to include coolers that had raw meat the cooks kept coming back and forth for. I even saw them pull raw chicken out of the cooler that was uncovered, which is a big health code violation. The server was nice, but since he was the only one on shift, the service was terrible. Waited so long for my check, I walked up front and told him we needed it right away and still waited 10 minutes. This place NEEDS some new management. It looks and feels like the owner has given up on the place.

Best Chinese restaurant in South Florida! The portions are great and the flavor is incredible! Combine that with excellent service from the staff and you get 5 stars!!
(5)Megan M.
Atlantic is one of our go-to takeout places for Chinese food. They have really good honey chicken, BBQ rib tips, and pork fried rice (ask for extra pork! It's a little more, but totally worth it). The staff is nice, and orders are ready pretty quickly. Skip the egg rolls. I was instantly sick the one time I ordered them.
